Board Members provide strategic guidance, oversight, and support to ensure the health and growth of YHH. This includes fiduciary responsibility, advocacy, and engagement with the community. As a working board, members will actively contribute their time, skills, and networks to help establish and grow the organization.
Attend and actively participate in quarterly board meetings with monthly phone call check ins.
Support the mission, vision, and values of YHH.
Review and approve YHH’s annual budget, financial statements, and major policies.
Provide guidance on strategic direction and organizational development.
Support fundraising efforts.
Advocate for YHH within your networks and help expand the organization’s reach.
Offer expertise, insight, or professional resources relevant to YHH’s mission (e.g., healthcare, nonprofit management, finance, marketing, law, etc.).
Passion for supporting caregivers and/or experience in caregiving, nonprofit, or healthcare sectors.
Willingness to actively participate in a startup-phase nonprofit.
Collaborative mindset with strong communication and follow-through.
Professional experience or lived experience that can meaningfully contribute to YHH’s growth.
Commitment to equity, inclusion, and community-centered work.
