Now Hiring – Building & Grounds Maintenance Technician
Position to be filled no earlier than July 1, 2025
Henry County is seeking a dedicated Building and Grounds Maintenance Technician to join our team in supporting the maintenance, repair, and renovation of public buildings and surrounding facilities.
In this important role, you’ll carry out a variety of intermediate-level tasks involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing , and general building maintenance. You'll play a key part in ensuring our buildings remain safe, functional, and welcoming for all who use them.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform skilled maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on public buildings and systems
Troubleshoot and service HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
Assist with renovations and facility improvements
Maintain grounds and facility exteriors as needed
Qualifications:
Proven experience in building maintenance or skilled trades
Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
A valid Virginia Trades Certificate in one or more relevant trades is preferred , but not required
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Compensation & Benefits:
Minimum Starting Salary: $40,649, may be increased based on qualifications and experience
Start Date: Position will not be filled before July 1, 2025
