Job Description
We're looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Remote Lower Elementary Math Teacher to join our team! This position focuses on teaching math to students ranging from Preschool to 2nd grade. As a teacher, you'll have the opportunity to create engaging, age-appropriate lessons and help students build critical thinking and math skills through innovative teaching methods.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of elementary math concepts, enjoy working with young learners, and have a passion for helping children succeed. Teachers will also communicate regularly with students and parents to ensure that each child's educational journey is progressing smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Teach online math classes: Prepare and deliver engaging math lessons to students weekly (5-7 classes, approximately 7-15 hours per week).
Lesson Planning & Flexibility: Your teaching schedule will depend on class preparation and student satisfaction.
Assist with paid teaching assistant work: Attend classes and observe lead teachers to improve your teaching methods.
Conduct evaluations: Work 1-on-1 with new students to assess their needs and help them choose the right classes (5-10 hours per week).
Grading & Parent Communication: Grade homework and provide weekly updates to parents on students' progress and areas of improvement (5-7 hours per week).
Other duties as assigned: Assist with additional tasks as needed by the teaching management team.
Work Schedule:
Hours: 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM (Wednesday to Sunday), with Monday and Tuesday off.
Flexible scheduling: Teaching hours take priority, but non-teaching hours are flexible.
Interview Process:
Teaching Demo Submission: 15-minute demo to showcase your teaching skills.
Story-Telling Exercise: 5-minute session to engage with the interview panel.
Teaching Session: 10-minute teaching segment.
HR Screening: 15-minute interview followed by interview prep.
Final Interview: 1-hour session.
Team-Fit & Behavioral Interview: Assess your fit for the team culture.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher (all majors are welcome; Education or STEM-related fields preferred).
Experience: Previous experience teaching math is a plus, but not required.
Availability: Full-time availability from Wednesday to Sunday starting in February 2025.
Passion for Teaching: Enthusiastic about working with children and committed to their academic growth.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent at communicating with parents and students.

Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive Pay:
Teaching Hours: $25-$40/hour.
Administrative Hours (Lesson Prep, Grading, Parent Communication): $16-$21/hour.
Yearly Salary Estimate: $40,000 - $50,000 in your first year, based on hours worked.
Performance-Based Pay Increase:
Potential for a 15% bonus per semester based on class quality.
Possible hourly rate increase of $1-$5 per semester based on performance.
